How to Deploy a Generated Website

You've built a website for a lead. Here's how to get it live on the internet so you can show the client — or hand it over when they pay.

1

Download the HTML file from Prospectr

In the website preview, click ⬇ Download HTML. You'll get a single .html file with everything built in — no dependencies needed.

2B

Deploy with GitHub Pages Free · Technical

  1. Create a free GitHub account at github.com
  2. Create a new repository, name it businessname-website
  3. Upload the HTML file and rename it index.html
  4. Go to Settings → Pages → set source to main branch
  5. Your site is live at yourusername.github.io/businessname-website
3

Connect a Custom Domain $12/year

Once the client says yes, buy their domain on Namecheap or GoDaddy (e.g. mikesbarbershop.com — usually $10–15/yr). Then point it to Netlify by adding their nameservers. Netlify gives you free SSL (the padlock) automatically.

Pro tip: Charge the client $150–$300 for setup + first year. That's pure margin on top of your site build fee.
4

Present it to the Client

Don't send a link cold. Show up or call and say: "Hey, I noticed your business doesn't have a website. I actually already built one for you — want to take a look?" Then send the Netlify preview link. This is your close.

Pricing tip: Charge $300–$1,500 for the site depending on the market. For recurring revenue, offer to host and maintain it for $50–$100/month.

How Prospectr Works

Step 1 — Find leads. Pick a niche (e.g. "auto detailing") and a city, then hit Search. Prospectr scans Google for real local businesses that have no website and shows them as lead cards.

Step 2 — Build their website. Click Build Website on any lead. Answer 4 quick questions about style and tone, review the auto-generated brief (edit it if you want), then hit Generate. A full multi-section website is ready in under 60 seconds.

Step 3 — Close the deal. Download the HTML or drop it on Netlify (free, 30 seconds) to get a live preview link. Call the business owner and say: "Hey, I built a free website for your shop — want me to text you the link?" Then send it. That's your pitch.

Step 4 — Get paid. When they say yes, charge them for the build ($300–$800) and a monthly hosting/maintenance fee ($75–$150/mo). Buy their domain ($12/yr on Namecheap), point it to Netlify, and you're done.

Finding the Right Leads

Why am I getting no results?
Big cities like New York or LA have too many businesses to scan quickly and most of them already have websites. Target mid-size cities instead — Tulsa OK, Boise ID, Peoria IL, Shreveport LA, Lubbock TX, Knoxville TN are goldmines. Cities with 50k–300k population tend to have the highest number of businesses without websites.
What niches work best?
The best niches are ones where the owner is hands-on and not tech-savvy: auto detailing, pressure washing, landscaping, junk removal, barbershops, mobile mechanics, handymen. These owners answer the phone, they understand the value of a website, and they can make a decision fast without running it by a board.
How do I find the owner's name?
Google the business name — most small businesses have a Facebook page or Yelp listing that names the owner. You can also just call the number listed and ask for the owner by saying "Hey, is the owner around?" Don't overthink it. Use the CRM notes on each saved lead to track what you find out.
Should I call or email?
Call. These are tradespeople and local business owners — most don't check email regularly. A 20-second phone call where you say "I built a website for your shop, want me to text you the link?" gets a yes more often than any cold email ever will. Text the preview link immediately after. Keep it simple.

Building & Delivering Websites

The website preview looks blank or broken
Click Download HTML and open the file in Chrome. If it looks fine there, the issue is just with the in-dashboard preview — the actual file is perfect. That downloaded file is what you deliver to clients. You can also try regenerating — sometimes Google returns less data for certain businesses.
How do I get the site live so I can send a link?
The fastest way: go to drop.netlify.com, drag and drop the downloaded HTML file, and you instantly get a shareable URL like amazing-site-123.netlify.app. It's free and takes 30 seconds. Send that link to the business owner as their preview.
How do I connect a real domain once they say yes?
Buy their domain on Namecheap (usually $10–15/yr). Then in Netlify, go to Domain Settings → Add Custom Domain, and follow the steps to point the Namecheap nameservers to Netlify. SSL (the padlock) is automatic and free. The whole process takes about 10 minutes — DNS then propagates within 24 hours.
Can I edit the generated site after building it?
Yes — the downloaded HTML file is a single self-contained file. Open it in any text editor (Notepad, VS Code) and edit the text directly. Everything is clearly labeled in the HTML. You can also regenerate from Prospectr with a different brief if you want a completely fresh version.
What do I charge clients?
A common structure that works well: $300–$800 upfront for the site build (depending on your market and how polished it is), then $75–$150/month for hosting, maintenance, and updates. At $100/month, one client pays for your entire Prospectr plan. Five clients and you've got a real recurring business.

Account & Billing

I forgot my password
Go to forgot-password page and enter your email — we'll send you a reset link instantly. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a minute.
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Account → Plans & Billing and click Upgrade. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout. Your new limits activate immediately after payment.
Can I white-label the generated sites?
On the Agency and Partner plans, the "Built by Prospectr" footer credit is removed and everything is unbranded. You can present the sites as your own work entirely.
How do I cancel?
Email support@prospectr.pro with your account email. We'll cancel immediately and refund any unused portion of the current billing period. No hoops, no questions.
Why am I not seeing any leads?
Try a broader niche (e.g. restaurant instead of sushi restaurant) or a larger city. Some niches in smaller towns have fewer unserved businesses. You can also add a second or third city using the + Add City button to cast a wider net in one search.

Website Quality Analyzer

Enter any business website URL to get an instant quality score across 10 criteria. Use this to find businesses with bad websites — they're even better prospects than those with none. Score below 65 = strong pitch opportunity.

How to Use This

Find Bad Websites
Search Google for local businesses in your niche, paste their URL here, and find ones with D or F scores — then pitch them a better site.
Personalize Your Pitch
Reference specific issues in your cold email: "I noticed your site doesn't have a mobile-friendly layout or customer reviews..." — it reads like research, not spam.
Upsell Existing Clients
Analyze a competitor's site compared to one you built — show the client the score gap. Easy upsell for updates or improvements.
Qualify Before Building
Some leads actually have a site — run it through here to see if it's worth rebuilding, or if their current site is already solid enough to pass on.
